12/01/2020 Description We are seeking a Corporate Controller to work in our Accounting Department.
This position reports directly to the VP, Finance; but works closely with all members of the Accounting Department.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Closing the books monthly and preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and schedules; quarterly and annual financial reports must meet GAAP and SEC reporting timetables and guidelines Billing and revenue recognition under customer agreements Oversight of ERP and related systems Support of external auditors, SOX 404 auditors and other consultants Preparation of SOX 404 documentation including flowcharts and the drafting of policies and procedures Participation in the preparation and review of SEC disclosures for the 10-Q and 10-K and any other SEC filings Manage Accounts Payable and Payroll functions Establish and implement accounting policies, processes and support systems Research technical accounting issues for compliance Preparation of entries to the General Ledger and preparation of Account Analyses Government/Project Cost Accounting Work with Project Manager to ensure compliance with government contracts Prepare monthly/quarterly government reports and annual incurred cost submission Development/Format financial reports in the general ledger Minimum requirements:
BS degree in Accounting and CPA 15
years related accounting experience Public Accounting and biotech or pharmaceutical experience 10
years supervisory experience Strong leadership with ability to coach and develop team members Excellent project management skills Government Contract and job costing experience a plus Proficiency with mid-size Accounting software including the writing of reports, Navision preferred Strong analytical and writing skills Must be proficient in MS Excel and have a working knowledge of other MS Office software Other Qualifying requirements:
Results oriented; dependable; and a self-starter Detail oriented and organized Must be proactive, enthusiastic and motivated to learn new skills Excellent communication skills on all levels Highly flexible and ability to work effectively in a team environment This position requires periodic weekend/evening work.
