We are currently searching for a Research Associate to provide support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) scientific staff. This opportunity is a permanent, full-time position with MSC and it is on-site at the NIH campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Duties and Responsibilities Following established Standard Operation Procedures perform immunological testing of human clinical samples in assays inclusive of : Specimen processing, Intracellular cytokine staining, Enzyme Linked Immunospot Assay (ELISPOT), Antibody Enzyme Linked Immunosorbant Assay (ELISA), and Viral Neutralization Assays Perform testing as scheduled by testing supervisors, with the flexibility of being able to perform various procedures as called upon. Responsible for reporting potential problems in a proactive manor to the testing supervisors Perform training for new employees as directed by the testing supervisors Maintain reagent and equipment supply inventories Perform assay and instrument QC testing as directed by testing supervisors As a technical expert on various methods provide insight into potential ways for method improvement or in the design of investigations. Work with the testing supervisors to quickly provide resolution to any documentation or testing deficiencies Work as a member of a team working for a common goal, and be willing to help out others when needed to assure all daily assignments are completed Become familiar with and assure compliance with Good Laboratory Procedures Follow established safety related SOPS, such to maintain a safe workplace Perform other duties as required
Position Requirements A minimum of a BS degree in the biological sciences A minimum of 3 years laboratory experience A minimum of 1 year applicable experience with flow cytometry, specifically with use of BD flow cytometers and use of FlowJo software Ability to perform repetitive detail-oriented laboratory procedures independently.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
