Job Description :
We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a HBS Coordinator position with some scientific and technical expertise in human biological samples (HBS) and/or biology/virology protocols to join our Translational Medicine group within Early Vaccines and Immune Therapies in Gaithersburg, MD.
The Translational Medicine group bridges the gap between pre-clinical vaccine development and human clinical trials to inform decisions about the development of next generation vaccines to combat infectious disease.
As a member of the Translational Medicine team, you will aid in activities related to supporting Client clinical trial studies in prevention of respiratory disease and bacteriology.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Working within the Translational group, you will apply your technical and scientific experience to aid in the editing and curation of clinically validated assay documentation.
You will be involved in generating HBS samples needed to aid Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) and third-party collaborators in developing qualified/validated assays for all Client clinical programs supported by EV&I Translational Medicine group.
You will be expected to maintain accurate electronic records of activities and ensure that your own work is compliant with Good Laboratory Practice, Safety, Health and Environment standards and all other relevant internal and external regulations and standards.
Essential Requirements B.

in Biology, or other related scientific discipline and with 0-3 years industry experience Background and experience in biological protocols with good record keeping skills Experience with Microsoft Office specifically Word and Excel Proficiency with use of online applications and teams environments for editing documentation Skilled with Excel for tracking HBS sample workflow Basic lab skills such as pipetting, labeling, aliquoting, and sterile technique.
Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills The ability to work in a team and to collaborate across departments Preferred Skills and Experience Hands-on experience with handling of human biological samples.
Knowledge and experience with GCLP practices.
Knowledge and experience with BSL-2 lab aseptic technique.
Recommended Skills Biology Clinical Research Clinical Trials Clinical Works Communication Coordinating Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
