About the Montgomery County Board of Elections (BOE) is seeking an Office Services Coordinator for its Voter Registration Section.
This is a front-line position which requires strong data entry and proofing skills.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING The candidate will be required to process and proof high volumes of electronic and paper applications and return mail.
This is repetitive work which requires attention to detail, accuracy of data entry and the ability to work under time-sensitive demands.
The candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to the voters in-person, over the phone, and via email.
Accurately perform data entry for voter registration documents and vote by mail requests.
Additional responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Digitizing documents and attaching to records in Maryland Voter Registration database.
Assist with receiving and processing all incoming and outgoing election mail.
Proofing election material and data entries.
Assist with post-election audits and election material archiving.
Position may require light physical effort.
Candidate will need to be prepared to work off-site during Election Canvass, work in a call center or a warehouse environment.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE :
The successful candidate for this position must demonstrate strong communication skills, including proper use of spelling and grammar; courtesy and tact in responding to telephone callers, office visitors and make proper disposition of problems and/or escalating concerns and issues to the supervisor or other departments.
Candidate must use critical thinking to maintain data integrity when processing applications, petitions and/or provisional ballots.
In addition, have a willingness to shift seamlessly between tasks consistent with office-program priorities, and assignments.
The employee must be available for work at the Board of Elections office in Gaithersburg during regular office hours, 5 days a week from 8:
30 a.
m.

m.
and during months surrounding elections, work a schedule of extended hours including significant overtime during evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
The employee must also have access to their own transportation to travel to work assignment at locations across the county.
To ensure a positive workplace and to comply with federal, state and County laws, the incumbent is responsible for completing mandatory trainings within the first three to six months or within the specified timeframe.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Experience :
Four (4) years of progressively responsible data entry, customer service or office support experience.
Education :
Graduation from high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.
Equivalency :
An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted.
Special Qualifications :
The successful candidate must be a Maryland registered voter or must register to vote in Maryland prior to date of hire.

Experience performing high-volume, accurate data entry and proofing.
Experience working under time-sensitive demands.
Experience working independently on multiple and varied administrative tasks.

Minimum Salary 50438 Maximum Salary 78947 Currency USD.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
