Leidos is seeking an energetic, motivated, self-starter for this technically sophisticated and challenging SONAR subject matter expert position, supporting the development of a variety of naval training and simulation systems such as CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer - YouTube.
You will develop and evaluate training systems for the surface community of the US Navy utilizing Leidos' CIAT and ATET trainers.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
o Participate in systems engineering activities for high fidelity, supercomputing based, acoustic trainers.
These activities include the entire trainer system development and installation lifecycle.
o Evaluate and test trainer capabilitieso Interact with internal developers as well as external tactical development team members, US Navy schoolhouse personnel, and military and civilian DoD customers to ensure that trainer requirements are captured and designed into the trainerso Participate in the installation of training systemso Train the trainers responsible for operating the training systemsTravel is required to test sites and US as well as FMS supported ships, and will account for about 10% of the job.

o High school diploma with significant subject matter work experience obtained through prior military experience, or B.

Experience:
o Must have 10
years experience obtained through prior related military experience, and demonstrate the skills and capabilities to successfully execute the duties and responsibilities of this positiono Must have specific subject matter expertise in ARCI or SQQ-89 (ACB13 or newer) Sonar system operations.
o Must be comfortable working directly with software developers and conducting software testing.
o Must be a flexible, positive and energetic team player, able to work successfully in a team environment.
Desired
Experience:
o Military experience in Undersea Warfare as a surface ship acoustic operator (STG), a fast attack or guided missile submarine acoustic operator (STS), or junior officero Acoustic Intelligence experienceo Experience with Atlassian Products CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer - YouTube Pay Range:
Pay Range $75,400.
00 - $116,000.
00 - $156,600.
00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
