Patient Financial Advisor I, Day shift, Patient Financial Services
Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Patient Financial Advisor who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Patient Financial Advisor, you will:
Insured patients:
o Confirm coverage requirements for scheduled patientso Confirm eligibility for insured patientso Obtain needed authorization for service where applicable for insured patientso Monitor patient service counts to ensure services are aligned for paymentsUninsured patients:
o Identify appropriate sources for patients based upon FPL guidelineso Appropriately assess ability for payment plans or discount planso Appropriately refer patients to other payment sources (i.
e.
Medicaid eligibility vendor)o Scheduling and coverage authorization of scheduled serviceso May require physician/clinical communicationo Pre-registration of scheduled services to include coverage verifications and authorizationso Assisting patients in completing AHC charitable applications at the medical centersQualifications include:
o Bilingual Spanish preferred o Minimum of 2 years experience within a healthcare financial environment - can include insurer or public health setting as well.
o High School Graduate or equivalent.
