Senior Systems Engineer II, Full Time Days, Information Technology

As a Senior Systems Engineer II you will:
o Supports a broad range of server, storage, infrastructure applications, business applications and clinical applications.
o Works closely with infrastructure platform and application vendors to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and efficient.
o Primarily performs as the 3rd tier operational support in Service Operation processes for all server, storage, infrastructure applications, business applications and clinical applications.
o Technology portfolio supported by the team includes Microsoft/AIX/Linux Server products, SQL Server, Active Directory, Azure, IBM/EMC Storage, VMware, Citrix XenApp and XenDeskop.
o Perform service operational tasks including but not limited to fulfilling support requests, resolving incidents, providing access, evaluating events, and managing problems o Perform necessary routine recurring tasks associated with the daily maintenance and support of the infrastructure platform and application portfolio o Provide infrastructure platform and application portfolio support in the timely resolution of technology incidents while adhering to SLA prioritization and success measures - including 24x7 on call support o Work with end users and other support staff to configure, troubleshoot and maintain all layers of infrastructure platform and applications o Documents operational and support procedures to ensure the overall integrity of infrastructure platform and applications.
o Follow PMBOK best practices in the implementation and transition of infrastructure platform and application implementations o Assist with the development of technical reference architectures that illustrate the entire topology of a system or service including communication requirements and system dependencies o Review infrastructure platform and application changes for the environment and provide input on the technical impact of the changes o Schedule and participate in reviewing vendor solutions to address workflow requirements of the business and clinical departmentsQualifications include:
o Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or information technology is preferredo 3
years of experience implementing and supporting applications in a MS Windows Server/Desktop environmento 3
years supporting general COTS based applicationso 1
years of experience working in the healthcare industry is preferredo 1
years of experience working with clinical applications is preferredo Network
or similar certification requiredo A
or similar certification requiredo ITILv3 Foundations is preferredo At least one additional server, storage and infrastructure application certifications preferred (ie:
Microsoft/AIX/Linux Server products, SQL Server, Active Directory, Azure, IBM/EMC Storage, VMware, Citrix XenApp and XenDeskop)o Good understanding of Authentication and Authorization technology including MS Active Directoryo Good understanding of Windows/AIX/Linux computer systems characteristics, features, integration capabilities, and management of OS and application configurations using Group Policy Objectso Solid knowledge of information systems, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems managemento Must be able to critically think and present arguments in an articulate manner to both technical and non-technical audiencesAt Adventist HealthCare our job is to care for you.
