We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, components, and systems. You will work on a variety of projects, including retail, office, multi-family, and healthcare sectors. Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design of electrical systems for various projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems.2. Conduct detailed design calculations and load calculations to ensure the optimal performance of electrical systems.3. Create and review detailed electrical drawings and specifications for construction.4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of electrical systems.5. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design and installation standards.6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.7. Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of electrical engineering and incorporate them into designs and plans.8. Ensure all designs and installations adhere to local and national electrical codes and safety standards.9. Coordinate with project managers and other design disciplines to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in commercial electrical design.3. Experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design is a must.4. Proficiency in using design software, such as Revit.5. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems.6. Experience in conducting design calculations and load calculations.7. Exceptional ability to create and interpret electrical drawings.8. Experience working in retail, office, multi-family, or healthcare sectors is highly preferred.9. Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.10. LEED Certification is a plus.11. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.12.
