Qualifications
Qualifications
1. BS in finance, accounting, healthcare management, or equivalent is required
2. 5
years healthcare or finance management experience
3. Working knowledge of GAAP rules and procedures preferred
4. General working knowledge of Maryland HSCRC reimbursement methodologies, rules and regulations.
5. Ability to work independently and handle a multi task environment
6. Strong customer service skills
7. Strong organizational and communication skills
8. Familiarity with financial software and systems - Access, Excel, Data Warehouse
Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting Operational Managers and Directors in all matters from a fiscal reporting perspective. Ensures that the critical success factors are achieved (i.e. best place to work, most extraordinary experience, superior outcomes, financial success for reinvestment, growing organization vital to the community and valued as a faith-based organization).
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1. Work with and on behalf of the CFO to provide support to Operational Managers and Directors in all operational matters from a financial perspective.
2. Prepare and analyze financial information to help leadership understand financial trends and performance.
3. Support and lead staff in the development of annual operating and capital budgets.
4. Assist with implementing departmental performance improvement activities including monthly department reviews with Department Managers.
5. Educate Managers on the use of financial reports to improve understanding of expense and revenue management.
6. Support the CFO in teaching, training and coaching managers in areas of healthcare finance, resource management and compliance.
7. Oversee billing process including direct and indirect supervision of staff within the revenue cycle of assigned entities.
8. Monitor and report to management revenue cycle performance including charge capture, accounts receivable management and collections.
9. Explore opportunities to improve business practices and performance across the entity that support organizational mission and goals.
10. Develop and monitor cost control tools and initiatives for all areas.
11. Work with VP/CFO in the development of business proformas for new business opportunities or expansion of existing service lines.
12. Review and recommend changes to departmental policies and procedures as needed.
13. Use standard and ad hoc financial reports to support operational decision making.
14. Participate on a variety of entity committees to support the financial initiatives of the organization.
15. Under the guidance of the CFO, coordinate the annual capital and operating budget process at the entity level.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
